Rioots: Upcycled Streetwear
“Yet I am sure that there is a greater anxiety, commonly, to have fashionable, or at least clean and unpatched clothes, than to have a sound conscience.”
Rioots is a second-hand streetwear brand that fights against fast fashion through the alleys and boxes of flea markets, second-hand stores, and clothing swaps. By collaborating with artists, Rioots breathes new life into old clothes, inspiring reflections and encouraging community engagement beyond consumerism.
The ‘Martian Giraffe’ series (pictured below) was designed in collaboration with Rioots, in conversation with my painting “Dreams & Other Dimensions”.
